Motupalli is an ancient seaport town situated in Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh. This historic place has been ruled by various dynasties and is also the site of several stupas and statues of Lord Buddha. Another popular attraction of the town is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Ram. Many other attractions await you at Motupalli which were built by Kakatiya rulers who ruled Motupalli and the neighbouring areas.

Motupalli is well connected by roads as well by the rail. Chirala is the nearest town to Motupalli which is at about 15 km from Motupalli. Both the places are well connected by the road. The State capital, Hyderabad is at 310 kilometres and the district headquarter of Ongole is at 34 kms from Motupalli. You can also reach here by train, which stops at Chinna Ganjam railway station. APSRTC buses also ply between Motupalli and other neighbouring places.
